Students eligible to apply for this scholarship must have a diverse background defined as coming from a population under-represented in nursing including males, ethnic minorities, rural-based students, or first-generation college students (neither parent has a 4-year bachelor’s degree). BSN nursing students who experience the death of a loved one while pursuing their degree and who have therefore experienced financial need as a result may be eligible for the Teresa R. LaManno Memorial Scholarship. Students interested in this scholarship should contact the Director of the BSN Program who will discuss their situation with them and may subsequently nominate them. A BSN student in good standing can receive the scholarship at any time during the year.
The Auxiliary at Saint Luke’s Hospital selects a BSN student every fall and spring semester for a scholarship that will support the student for four semesters. The Office of Financial Aid will notify students via email when the applications open.
