Mary Poskin joined the undergraduate BSN in 2016. Her primary area of practice has been in perinatal nursing, antepartum, research, mother baby nursing, and working as a clinical nurse educator. Poskin developed and implemented the Postpartum Follow Up Program at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City. She continues to practice as a Postpartum Follow Up nurse during summer breaks. She is a co-investigator in a research study at the College exploring ACES scores, depression, and anxiety among nursing students.
Poskin has participated in numerous perinatal research activities and is published in The American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Perinatology, and Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of Partners in Population Health-Kansas City (a group of educators who teach community/population health in the greater Kansas City area) the National League for Nursing, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
