Kristina Henry RN, DNP, NE-BC
Dr. Kristina Henry is an Associate Professor on the graduate MSN faculty and came to the College in 2016. She has a diverse clinical background including medical surgical and operating room nursing, as well as critical care and emergency nursing. Most recently, she was a director of an undergraduate nursing program in southwest Missouri and assisted with the development and accreditation of the DNP program. She has more than 12 years of experience in undergraduate and graduate nursing education.
Her focus is on translating evidence to improve quality outcomes in a variety of clinical and academic settings. She recently co-authored a textbook to assist graduate students and practitioners in the translation of evidence called “Frameworks for Advanced Nursing Practice and Research: Philosophies, Theories, Models, and Taxonomies” (2017, Utley, R., Henry, K., & Smith, L.).
She is a member of the Missouri Organization of Nurse Leaders and the American Nurses Association. She is a volunteer on the Camp Barnabas Medical Team.
