Jan Huster, PhD, RN
Associate Professor Jan Huster joined the faculty in fall 2019. She completed her PhD in Nursing Education and Leadership from William Carey University in 2019. Her Bachelor of Science in Nursing was earned from the University of Missouri-Columbia. From the University of Kansas, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing and a graduate certificate for Health Professions Educator.
Huster’s objective is to be an exemplary nurse educator and clinical nurse specialist. Leading by example, she hopes to inspire students and nurses to strive to be the very best nurses possible. She is dually-licensed in Kansas and Missouri. She is a member of the Kansas City Regional Simulation Alliance, the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning, and Sigma Theta Tau International. She has been privileged to serve on two student service trips, one to Zambia and the other to Guatemala. Dr. Huster is passionate about simulation and research. She serves on Committee Two of the Institutional Review Board for Saint Luke’s Health System.
