Interim Simulation Center Manager and Assistant
Assistant Professor Jamie Parks joined the undergraduate BSN faculty in fall 2015. She is the interim director of the Simulation Center. She maintains clinical practice at Advent Health Center as a forensic assessment, consultation and treatment nurse. Additional clinical experiences include working as an RN in renal, ortho, oncology, rehab, med/surg and neurology and progressive care units. She was previously a clinical instructor at the University of Saint Mary and a Clinical Nurse Coordinator at the University of Kansas Cancer Center.
Parks has taught nursing courses in complex care, the foundations of nursing lab, adult health lab, advanced clinical management of patients, and simulation courses.
She is a member of the American Associations of Critical-Care Nurses, Oncology Nursing Society, University of Saint Mary Honor Society of Nursing, is a Notary Public in the State of Missouri, and is a Clinical Faculty Academy and End of Life Nursing Consortium Prepared nurse.
