James D. Waterman
James D. Waterman joined the undergraduate BSN faculty in 2016 an assistant professor and teaches Foundations of Professional Nursing and in the simulation lab. He started his nursing career at the age of 17 as a surgical orderly at North Kansas City Hospital.
His clinical background is in critical care, post-open heart recovery, and trauma care. He has worked as a hospital supervisor, clinical educator, American Heart Association Training Center Coordinator, and professor of nursing at William Jewell College where he taught Fundamentals of Nursing, Adult Health Nursing, Pathophysiology, and Nursing Research.
