This November, Dean of Nursing and Professor Dr. Victoria Grando will be recognized as a distinguished educator in gerontological nursing during a national conference on aging to be held in Austin, Texas. She will be honored as part of the National Hartford Center of Gerontological Nursing Excellence Recognition Program for Distinguished Educators in Gerontological Nursing.
The Transdisciplinary Conference on Aging & Alzheimers: Caregiving, Diversity & Quality is an annual conference organized by the National Hartford Center of Gerontological Nursing Excellence.
Dr. Grando joined the College in fall 2015. She completed a post-doctorate in gerontological nursing at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa; a doctorate in nursing with a minor in women’s history at the University of Kansas, in Kansas City, Kansas; a masters of science in community mental health nursing at the University of Missouri-Columbia in Columbia, Missouri; a bachelor of science in nursing at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri; and a diploma in nursing at Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York.
