Dr. Ellen Stephenson
DNP, APRN, WHNP-BC, RNC-OB
Assistant Professor Dr. Ellen Stephenson joined the faculty at Saint Luke’s College in fall of 2017. Before this placement, she was a clinical adjunct instructor at the College since August 2016.
She completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Women’s Health Nurse Practioner from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama in July 2017. She also completed her MSN and BSN degrees from the University of South Alabama.
Her vast work experiences include various maternity departments. Most recently she worked Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, Missouri as a staff nurse/PRN. She currently serves a major in the Air Force Reserves as the 442nd Fighter Wing chief nurse where she is responsible for overseeing the training and activities of 40 medics and nurses.
Ellen holds licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Missouri and as an RN in both Kansas and Missouri. She is board certified as a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner and Inpatient Obstetric Registered Nurse. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society.
