Instructor Victoria Bennett joined the faculty in 2013. She earned a BSN from DePauw University in 1979 and an MSN from Webster University in 2013.
Her experience includes staff nurse at Menorah Medical Center, clinical nurse at Kaiser Permanente, school nurse at Raytown South High School and director of nursing at Spofford Home.
She has worked in a variety of healthcare settings including medical, surgical, PCCU, postpartum, recovery room, pain management, and adult and pediatric behavioral health. She has supervised the nursing care of pediatric residents in a psychiatric treatment facility as well. Most recently she was the Infection Prevention, Employee Health, and Staff Development Manager at Crittenton Children’s Center. Bennett is a member of the Missouri Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau.
She is especially interested in missions and has been ever since a mission trip to Haiti when she was in nursing school. Since that time she has been to India and Ireland on mission trips and is Vice President on the House of Friends board, a nonprofit organization. They sponsor a children’s home in Uganda and she makes frequent trips on medical missions and teaching missions to Uganda.
