Assistant Professor Shane Hagen joined the faculty in 2013. He earned a BSN from Graceland University, an MSN in Education and Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2012, and completed an MSN degree as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
He maintains his clinical practice at Saint Luke’s Hospital where he works in the cardiovascular surgery intensive care unit as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Shane is also a Captain in the United States Army Reserves where he served in two deployments including a tour in Iraq working in an emergency department in an Army Combat Support Hospital.
Shane Hagen has years of management experience both in civilian and military hospital settings. He holds multiple trauma and critical-care certifications including CCRN (Critical Care Nursing Certification), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), and BLS (Basic Life Support).
