Instructor Nathan Hagen joined the faculty in 2015. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009 and his Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner master's degree in 2015, both from Saint Luke's College of Health Sciences.
He has been in the United States Army Reserve since 2002 and is currently a member of the 325th Combat Support Hospital out of Independence, Missouri. Nathan works at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri as a nurse practitioner in the adult critical care units. He is currently working toward a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri.
He has years of work experience both in civilian and military hospital settings. He holds multiple certifications including Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Critical Care Nursing Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Trauma Nursing Core Course, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support.
He has received several military awards and is a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. He has also been deployed to Pakistan and recently returned home from a deployment to Honduras.
