Kathryn Taylor joined Saint Luke’s College in Summer of 2014. She received both her BSN and MSN from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a Clinical Nurse Specialist focusing on Adult Health and Acute Care.
She is currently a Nurse Practitioner for in-patient services at Saint Luke’s Hospital Neurological Consultants. In this role, she served as the Advanced Practice Lead, Nurse Champion for Neurology: Evidence-Based Medicine Committee. She also serves on the Neuroscience Institute Leadership Council accomplishing the National Certification as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Joint Commission. She was a Staff Nurse IV at Saint Luke’s Hospital Emergency Department prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner. She served as a student and staff nurse at Columbia Regional Hospital’s Emergency Department.
She has served in a variety of leadership positions at Saint Luke’s Hospital including APRN Nurse Champion on the Neuroscience Evidence-Based Practice Committee. She has also served on a variety of Hospital Committees including the Neuroscience Institute Leadership Council; the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Committee the EPIC; Neurology Advanced Practice Lead/Representative; the Code Blue: Emergency Department Representative and the Quality Emergency Department Representative.
She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society. And she is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Trauma Nursing Core Course, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner and Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse.
