Join Saint Luke’s College for their FREE CNE Event on October 24, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. Steve Arkin, MD, will present The Stigma of Mental Illness.

Steve and his wife Karen M. Arkin, MD are both neurologists at Saint Luke’s Health System and founders of the SPEAK UP Foundation - Suicide Prevention Education and Awareness for Kids United as Partners. In May of 2015, their son Jason succumbed to his battle with clinical depression by suicide. Although devastated by his passing, they strive to carry on his memory. Their mission is to create a teen awareness program to directly address and stamp out the stigma of living with and communicating about mental illness by starting conversations in the schools and community.
