Hubbard has signed over 30,000 diplomas in 32-year career

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (April 29, 2014) – President Dean L. Hubbard signed his last stack of diplomas for the spring 2014 graduates. After 32 years as a college and university president, Dr. Hubbard’s signature is on over 30,000 diplomas from the three institutions where he has been president: Union College in Lincoln, Ne., Northwest Missouri State University, in Maryville, Mo., and Saint Luke’s College of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Mo.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (April 25, 2014) – Two Saint Luke’s College students have been awarded scholarships of $1,000 each from scholarship programs at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

(March 31, 2014) - Procainamide, Propranolol, Nicardipine, Potassium, Lidocaine HCL, Esmolol, and Atropine all have one thing in common, these are several of the over 100 drugs students in the Pharmacology class are memorizing. Education has long relied on mnemonic devices to aid students in remembering key information.

Saint Luke's College President announces retirement

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 31, 2014) - Dr. Dean L. Hubbard, president of Saint Luke’s College of Health Sciences is retiring effective August 1, 2014.

Dr. Hubbard has been working with the College since 2010, initially as chair of the board of directors and then as president. This is the second time Hubbard has retired. He was president at Northwest Missouri State University for 25 years: 1984-2009.

Disaster Preparedness students spend Spring Break in humanitarian field exercise

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 25, 2014) - A spring break trip to Florida usually includes sand, sun, and a beach towel, but for nine Saint Luke’s College students Florida wasn’t a tanning opportunity.

They spent four days participating in a humanitarian relief field exercise at the Treasure Coast Public Safety Training Complex in Fort Pierce, Florida.
