KANSAS CITY (May 15, 2014) - The Perioperative Nursing elective is the class to be in if you want hands-on experience with surgical nursing this summer.

Assistant Professor Sharon White-Lewis, M.S.N., R.N. is teaching the course this summer and will build on her own operating room experiences—she’s been a perioperative nurse for most of her life.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 13, 2014) – The first M.S.N. class of 11 students graduated from Saint Luke’s College on May 9th, 2014 with their Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner degree. In 2012 the College enrolled graduate for the first time in their 111-year history.

Hauschildt named President of Saint Luke's College of Health Sciences

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 12, 2014) – The Saint Luke’s College Board of Directors appointed Dr. James A. Hauschildt president and dean of the College effective June 1, 2014. Dr. Hauschildt has served as the dean since 2011 and will succeed President Dr. Dean. L. Hubbard who is retiring.

Seniors celebrate with pancake brunch

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 2, 2014) – Graduating seniors feasted on pancakes—if they could catch them with their plates—as Matt Werkowitch of Chris Cakes flipped pancakes through the air. The brunch was the beginning of celebrations for seniors who will graduate May 9, 2014. There were smiles all around because today is the very last class for these B.S.N. students.

Hubbard has signed over 30,000 diplomas in 32-year career

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (April 29, 2014) – President Dean L. Hubbard signed his last stack of diplomas for the spring 2014 graduates. After 32 years as a college and university president, Dr. Hubbard’s signature is on over 30,000 diplomas from the three institutions where he has been president: Union College in Lincoln, Ne., Northwest Missouri State University, in Maryville, Mo., and Saint Luke’s College of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Mo.
