Pam Gardner joined the faculty in the fall of 2018. She earned her BSN from Fitchburg State University in Fitchburg, Massachusetts and her MSN in Maternal/Child Nursing and Education from the University of Missouri-KC/Columbia/Saint Louis.
Gardner started her career in the new field of neonatology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She moved to Missouri with her family and expanded into OB care. Years later, she worked with nursing students encouraging the nursing philosophy that nurses play a key part in the health care team. Gardner began teaching students at Indian Hills Community College in Iowa then moved to Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri.
She received the Educator of the Year Award and the Governors Excellence in Education Award while at Truman. She worked for Kaplan Nursing to prepare students to pass NCSBN and NCLEX examinations.
